final hunted video

2P1 GROUP 2 HUNTED FINAL from Long Road Applied Media Diploma on Vimeo.

At the beginning of the video you can hear the foot steps we included that in the video because this shows adds an excitement to the video and makes it bit more interesting, also when the character is first presented you can only see her feet's and as she walk to ward the door then gradually you start to see the back of the character this grabs attention to the audience and makes it questionable of what's going to happen next.
as the character walks through the door she is presented to the audience this means by having the camera looking at her and the other character 2 is presented as to having her head back to the camera this shows that there's something going on and the audiences try to work it out.
as the two characters have a conversation you can see the each character every time they talk the camera is facing them and showing them and this it more interesting and looks bit more professional, as the characters continue to have their conversation you an hear some noises at the background this was not on purpose because it shows that it was shot in black area and it was edited to a point but over edited.
as the characters walked off you can hear hear a music in the back ground this adds an excitement and makes the audience feel like there's something to come and sound is very hunted if you like and it kind of works with the video and because it's questionable and it's almost like they are walking off what`'s happening why's the music playing at the background so it kinder makes you want to continue watching the video.
as they walk off you there's a long shot of them the two characters walking we wanted to show clear shot of what was going on and not just having to cut clips bit by bit and also this shows that the camera did good job because at the same time the camera was hold still while shooting a long shot from a long distance.
then the two characters are presented sitting down and talking once again about the patient this shoot wasn't what we expected mainly because we did not follow the 180 degree rule and it all came down to the editing and again the editor had to work and make sure the audience will at least not notice about that and make it believeble that it was filmed in the 180 degree rule.
as the two characters we still having the conversation about the patient the room that we had to take the shoot in was quite dark therefore we didn't quite get the right brightness we needed for the camera so wen it came to the editing it has to be made all bright and trim's were made and cuts this took us some time but we made i happen so hopefully it it not noticed.
as the character walk up the stairs she is presented as walking to ward the camera we thought it was good idea to have the camera looking down on her as this would have some affects and give a clue to the audience of what to come next also add bit more drama into the shoot, the music was also played as she walks up the stairs again this leads back to the where the two characters were walking off and again it just makes you wonder is something going to happen and the stairs with the camera facing her gives a bad sign and music is gradually first and beats has a dramatic affect to it.
as we filmed a conversation once again we failed to follow the 180 degree rule again and this happens a lot but it all lies in the editing again and if you can make it look believeble so that the audience doesn't notice a things this shows some next level editing courage and risk not to go out and film it again is a big risk and just try and edited without knowing weather the audience will notice or not.
the patience get angry and starts to loose control we wish we had made more angry and there was more drama into her anger in order to make it more dramatic, as the characters is grabbed and taken down the stairs we hear screaming this is was done because thought it would give the audience some sort of believe that this is real and it could happen also in the real world, as but also has to tone it down because we didn't want to make the audience unconfotable so there was a point in the editing where we had to edit some bit out to make less noise and just cut some things out.
as the character was shoved in the cupboard there was no noise we can hear this silence in the background this made it a dramatic silence this shows that something has happen and all this time the music and the camera was following the character finally had revealed why.
as the patient works out she suddenly is disguised and has a uniform on this makes it highly dramatic and gives attention to the viewers on what was not expected because not much words was spoken by the patient so this shows that this is what she was planning on doing.

logo

for my logo it took quite a while to actually understand where i really wanted to with this, but again as i started playing around in the Photoshop i found out more things that i didn't know and i started using this ideas around then found my drawing changing completely, because i didn't know the tools that where available to me on Photoshop

for the shapes i wanted explore the different shapes you can use Photoshop, i also added color on them just because it makes more interesting, also makes you question yourself what else i can do.

fonts

As you can see on this one was very limited but i just wanted to show what i can do in Photoshop, doesn't have to be always over the top this is just blank and simple and that's what i wanted people to understand you can use texts as simple as this.

club flyer

At first i had no idea how to create this club flyer i wasn't used using Photoshop, but then as i played around with the ideas that i had in my head I started getting more and more ideas to where i wanted to go.
i choose this this background image specially because as you can this lights are on and also the dance floor looks fun to be on, then i added the guy doing hand stand this i wanted people to understand that this dance floor is unlike any other dance floor because this where you can express how you feeling and break dance no matter what kinder moves you have.. it also just shows people
just want to have fun and live their
this screen grab shows to characters having a conversation about a a sic patient in the reception, the different screenings  shows how we edited the video in the large one that one shows the video and you always change it when ever.
and the small one show shows what it's going to look like when the it's finished and the bottom bit is called the timeline this is the length of the video you always change that to.

this screen brag shows level to experimenting different sounds tracks to see wether they go with out movie or not.
foootsteps shows that went out and recorded foot steps and try to fit it in our movie.

this screen crab shows sean's design for the credit and this represents the motion of the credit design.
this work takes a lot of dedication and time and if you cannot give your time this would not work because sometimes you learn things that are difficult then you get lost through it and you feel like you giving up but this kind of work motivates you to keep going because every time you cannot do something makes you want to know how to do it and not give up.

back at our recording, to see weather we needed to re-do it or it was good enough.

this shots show the group 2 filming the hunted movie.
every time we go out filming we had fun because we were already set and knew what to do and everyone is contributing to their best of ability and this makes it very fun and exciting.

this still picture shows that the camera man working hard to get angle of the characters and film them.
this shot shows the characters having fun while filming also shows that how well the groups get on together that they can film while having fun at the same time.
this was shot shows a part of movie where to characters meet and have a lunch, this this shot was taken and while this was happening.

this is a shot of group2 practicing their lines before filming and at times it was quite funny we thought it would be good to get a shot of it.

the cript

this is the script for our hunted movie, this was written by me with the help of sophie and sean.
the script is for the characters they had to learn in order to make the movie but also the characters was given the opportunity to improvise of their own we thought this would make it more interesting and gives them the power to shine more.

proposal

this proposal was written by sophie to help out me and sean so we get an overview of what the story is about.
this helped a lot because to write script i needed to understand the proposal in order to write, it is also a idea of the story by looking t this you could understand what the movie about without looking at the movie.

story board

this was the rough story it was made to plan it and just to get ideas and of what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go from scratch to here.
this plan helped us developed our own ideas and through of our finish product

design sheet

the design sheet show us a idea of what we could use in order make the movie, by designing the this sheet we've made decision based on the that design sheet.
this sheet helped us to understand more of the story and picture it of what it could look like and also be.

final story board

this final story board shows that what the finish product will look like all though this is not certain because some of our ideas does change while we are filming but we hoping that this idea that we will be using while filming it.
this pictures shows the action of what's happening in the moment and the writing shows angle shots and the shots.

2P1 Rami - 'BOMB!' SHORT FILM 2012 from Long Road Applied Media Diploma on Vimeo.

to make the bomb video we had to go out in groups and film a place in long road that we wanted to blow up, we choose a place that we thought  would made sense to blow up  because the  bomb was in  the car park so we kind off choose the car park to blow up just so that it  seemed  more real but also the task was  to choose two other places and we choose the entrance of the reception because it was near to the car park and the quad this is two make a contrast of the places blowing up bit by bit and this shows how far the bomb exploded.
To film this part we went out with camera and tripod we filmed three different locations in a still shots for three minutes this.

Action sequence

This caption shows the action of the bomb sequence, it was quite challenging because this time, we have to come up with everything this means by planning the story by our self and also deciding what types of shots and camera angles we wanted to use.
I found  this challenge quite difficult because it was the first time where we didn't have to follow instruction this was completely down to us and how we wanted it go and end up.
But again by working in groups it made it easier because we gave each other ideas and listened to each other to complete the task, and also we had similar ideas and we knew where we wanted to begin with the shots and end it.
Filming this shots were very hard, this is because it wasn't quite the weather i was expecting, and this made it very difficult, the rain was very heavy and we couldn't really film the places and the way we planned it .
we had to go back and film the action part because we didn't feel like we had enough happening, and this happened after weekend so Monday we finished off filming and there was no complaining from the group we just knew what we had to go and the task so we got on with.

the phone call

The screen grab shows the phone call sequence, this is two characters a conversation in two different locations, in order to produce this we had to film every character in their location and the second character in their location and then at the end combine this two tapes and and put as a timeline also make sure they are in order.
It was easy to do this task because we had to make sure we drew a plan for it this is to make it clear for audiences and as witch made it easier because all we had to do is to follow what we already produced in the class
Working as a group made it very easy because we gave each other opinions and worked along side with one another, using the camera was easy because one of people in my group had already known how to use it so we just let him take in charge of the camera and he was really good.

And also this made it easy because then each person volunteered in what they do best and it was fun filming it because we didn't take to seriously we were trying to be professional but at the same time to have fun.

bomb sequence meeting

This screen grab shows that two characters having a conversation about where to place a bomb.

Doing this task we needed work as a group and make sure our mission was complete, we had to make a plan at first and make sure this pictures and our plan made sense before anything else.

Then the next thing we needed  was to make a dialogue of our own and act it out before filming it and this was easy because we worked as a team and made sure we did everything right.

The next thing we did was to film it, filming was alright it was much better than the 'phone call' because this time we had much experience with the camera and made sure didn't do a lot of tapes that we didn't need.

I was very happy with this tapes because I feel like I took it very seriously there was less laughing and it was definitely more professional.

having other props there like table, lap top, clip board all this made it kinder of real and gave mea bit of taste what it could be like in real life.

I think the only part I found hard was putting the sequence together because their was certain close up of the two characters and this made me a bit confused of how many close ups were there, but that was all the rest was easy and fun.

horror stills rami

2P1 HORROR STILLS - Rami from Long Road Applied Media Diploma on Vimeo.

when when the shots of this video there was a lot of ideas in everyones head and we knew that we had to make it simple and creative.
to edit this video i found a bit hard because my skills in photoshop isn't that good but learning quick is what i had to do in order to make sure that i was in same page with everyone else.
using garage was the part i found easy because i like music and i knew instantly what kinder of music i wanted t use in my horror still video and it made it easier because we had so many choices ad this meant that there was a lot more options for the video and it made it more exciting to make the video for the horror stills.

2P1 Rami - IDENT from Long Road Applied Media Diploma on Vimeo.

Making this Ident I really wanted to explore Photoshop and final cut.
I choose the 'I' in bold because i want it to stand out not just the words or the images but in some shape or form, also because my logo is called 'eye ver' I knew that i had to have some image with eye but i wasn't sure how to represent that in the logo.

I did some research and got some ideas form the internet and at home I started sketching how I wanted my logo to look like but I wasn't still sure I wanted it to end up as a finish product until i started using Photoshop and some of my ideas are now little bit different because I found out that I could do more things that I wanted online rather than trying to figure out how to show it in my own way.

I used the eye because i wanted it to give the logo a dramatic affect and i choose a slightly darker one  this is because I wanted the eye to have more power in the logo than any other words in the logo, it's also important because is the only image in the logo so audience get's the logo strait away and understand what is it about.

The word 'ver' means 'see' and I choose this word because it's questionable one and the logo is quite mysterious and dramatic so the audience get's the clue from the image but the word makes them wonder and question also makes them want to find out more about it.

The music gives the logo dramatic affect because it's very dark and the drum beat suits helps to suit the logo and make it feel like as if something is about happen.

this marketing made laugh at lot because a lot of the questions where really funny, but it's real engaging and fun.
i would this next time because i found it interesting and very fun for the lesson .

Earth and eye

this was my first task at Photoshop, i had no idea where i wanted to go with this .
at first i had trouble with getting started because i didn't know where the tools were located and or  even how to open up Photoshop file, but then i managed to do my eye :)
